Alternative Wedding Photos – Chilli Barn, Otley – Daisy & Dan
Alternative Wedding Photos – Awesome people = Awesome party
I was totally thrilled when Daisy & Dan asked me to photograph their wedding – I knew it would be a corker and that it would be bucket loads of fun.
I have known Dan since he was 6 – my favourite Beaver (not a euphemism) who became one of my brother’s best friends. So I have seen this lunatic grow up, some how bag a gorgeous wife in Daisy, and remain an all round awesome egg. Well done Dan! 🙂
Everything about Daisy and Dan’s alternative wedding was spot on – the venue and it’s super chilled staff; the gorgeous Yorkshire views; the laid back sharing platters for dinner; the Irish sing song at the end of the night; ‘Pour Some Sugar On Me’ as a first dance song…oh yes!; of course their look and most of all the spirit of the day. Lovely, lovely families; bonkers and boozy mates and the commitment to doing exactly what they wanted as a couple made this day very memorable.
Loved it. Every minute.
Very best wishes for your future together D&D – I know you are going to have such a good time. Keep smiling. x
“We choose you for your quirky, documentary style. We aren’t very serious people so it seemed strange to hire a photographer to do the bog standard wedding photographs as we wanted to bring out our character and the fun of the day. Working with you was great as you had loads of ideas for different styles of pictures. You were a great help in gently steering us as to what we needed to do as the day is such a blur you forget what your meant to be doing next…hic hic 🙂!”
Daisy & Dan’s Wedding Little Black Book…
Outfits: Dress was called “Ginger” and is by Enzoani (the dress was inspired by the 1930s actress Ginger Rodgers). I bought it from a family run boutique in Harrogate called the Harrogate Wedding Lounge. Dans outfit was from Next, Topman, and his coral scarf from Paul smith with matching socks.
Shoes – Daisy’s sandals from Dune, Dan’s brogues from Clarks.
Florist – Tiger Lily by Lizzie Reynolds
Venue – Cheerful Chiili Barn, Otley with a petal pole marque from Yorkshire Yurts
Decor/styling – family and friends helped so much with all the decor. Dan’s mum made bunting for 6 months and Daisy’s Grandma, who couldn’t make it to the wedding, made all the confetti from flowers in her garden. Sweet!
Make up & Hair – Lisa Addley
Cake Maker – White Rose Wedding Cakes
Caterer – The Cheerful Chilli Barn
Bridesmaids Dresses – ASOS
Stationery – My bridesmaid Lauren Dixon designed our save the date and invites. The cake maker used her bird design as a cake topper.
Entertainment – Band in the evening was Carley and the Kicks (only on Facebook)
Transport – The Volkswagen Wedding Company
Your photos are always so vibrant and full of life and love!!! LOVE, love, love!! 🙂
