Sparkford Hall Wedding

"We are so thrilled with our witty, beautiful, relaxed wedding pictures that we will treasure forever. They are all natural, informal and capture the spirit of the many naughty, colourful characters we count among our friends and family."

Laid back Sparkford Hall Wedding in Bruton, Somerset for Bex & Dan

Sparkford Hall Wedding // Sparkford Hall is definitely not your typical wedding venue but if you’re looking for something daring, different and decadent, to hold a festival wedding, you are in the right place!

Bex and Dan had Sparkford Hall exclusively for the whole weekend with pre wedding parties planned and a post party fancy dress rave in the subterranean club. Think Isle of Wight festival in Somerset!

GUESTS WEREN’T AFRAID TO ROLL THEIR SLEEVES UP

Their Sparkford Hall Wedding was full of music, laughter, llamas and had real community spirit. Lots of friends and family mucked in which made the day really personalised. 2 friends conducted the ceremony. Friends and relations provided the wonderful music. A super talented bridesmaid made the beautiful veil. Other bridesmaids decorated the marquee and special mention must go to Bex’s mum for making the best cake I ever laid my eyes on!

THE BONKERS WEDDING CAKE

There had been some debate over the flavour of the cake between the bride and groom so Bex’s mum created different flavours of sponge for the towering cake. Dan then dared to express his upset that there was no chocolate layer. How dare he?! So mum whipped up a batch of chocolate brownies, popped them on a paper plate before whacking them on top. 😀 That is a woman after my own heart! There was nothing delicate about the cake but it tasted divine and after being decorated with edible flowers looked colourful and fun.

DOCUMENTARY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY WAS THE ORDER OF THE DAY

Bex and Dan didn’t want to pose for any portraits but there was so much good energy, characters and life that there was plenty to photograph without having to stage a thing and I honestly loved every minute of it. They laughed their way through the day and it was a pleasure to be a part of it.

ABOUT ME

Jordanna from Jordanna Marston Photography is a Colour Loving Alternative Wedding Photographer.  Photography that is bursting at the seams with character and colour with a little time set aside for some ace, natural couple portraits. To book me, or just have a chat, just get in touch. I’d love to hear about your plans..

Random fact: I come from a long line of self employed folk – having my own business has always been my calling. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do at first but I knew I wanted to work for myself. Having my son 8 years ago was the final kick up the backside to go for it full time and it’s been great! I thoroughly recommend it!

VOTED NEW YORK RANGEFINDER MAGAZINE RISING STAR OF WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

“We really like Jordanna’s ability to capture genuinely joyous, funny and quirky expressions without them being hokey, staged or cheesy. It’s clear you don’t pose them. You’re able to coax a lot of happiness on your own, or at the very least are trigger-ready with impeccable timing.” Libby Peterson, New York Rangefinder Magazine
