Zetter Townhouse Wedding – Clerkenwell, London
As soon as Wayne’s enquiry landed in my inbox for their Zetter Townhouse Wedding I knew it was meant to be. Wayne is the Art Director of Runner’s World magazine and, well, I’d just that very morning been out on my first (and since last) run in 4 years. True story.
Crap jokes aside, I loved the sound of Wayne and Hannah’s plans. Much like my own wedding, they chose to get married surrounded by just their immediate family with minimal fuss but without compromising on what they wanted for their wedding day.
The Zetter Townhouse is an absolutely fabulous venue – stylish, quirky, fabulous food, attentive and friendly staff, special without feeling stuffy. Seriously, when can I move in?!
Hannah had a relaxed morning getting ready at The Zetter Townhouse whilst Wayne was opposite in the Zetter – I split my morning between the two of them before they met for a very sweet first look and their portraits pre ceremony around the Townhouse, Clerkenwell and Marylebone – where they chose to wed at Asia House.
The couple decided to do their portraits pre ceremony because they had already decided to say ‘schmadition to tradition’ and as they were getting married late afternoon on a winter’s day so they knew that daylight would be a bit lacking. Also it was important to them to be able to chill with guests once they were married and back at The Zetter so doing their portraits beforehand suited their needs perfectly.
And didn’t they both look great?! Not that I am one for labels but I feel I should share the details with you. After all Hannah was my first ever biker jacket bride. Hannah looked so fab/ playful/ funky/ gorgeous in her short Rime Arodaky dress and lace bridal biker jacket which she found in Mews Bridal in Notting Hill; her specially commissioned size 1 (size 1!!!) Rupert Sanderson gold stilettos and flowers and crown by Sophie and Luna. Wayne looked equally as slick in his Thom Sweeney suit, rose gold cufflinks and patent Church’s shoes. (Shame he cocked his beard up but we won’t mention that 😉 )
I’m not gonna lie, I fell in love with Hannah and Wayne a bit that windy weekend in November. Guys – you are so well suited, so warm, clearly so in love and I know you are going to have a really happy future together. Thanks for letting me play my part x
Here are some highlights from their wedding day…
